Invest in Luxury Vinyl Tile This Summer

Why Using Luxury Vinyl Tile is a Smart Flooring Investment for the Summer

Luxury vinyl tile, for many reasons, can be worth your time and money during the warm season of summer.

Summer brings a lot to your home. You’ll see beautiful greenery come to life. Temperatures rise, and you may see occasional rainfall. What many people don’t consider is how the interior of your house gets affected during this time. Summer can impact your flooring, depending on the material you use. To avoid any problems happening to your flooring during the summer, you might want to consider luxury vinyl tile. Luxury vinyl tile, for many reasons, can be worth your time and money during the warm season of summer.

The Comfort Zone of Luxury Vinyl Tile

What do we mean when we say the “comfort zone”? For flooring, the comfort zone refers to the range of temperatures that the floor can handle before it starts to sustain damage. Wood, for example, has a comfort zone in the range of 60-80 degrees Farenheight.

In the summer, it’s possible for the interior of your home to go outside of this range. When this happens, your floor can start to be compromised. The extra humidity in the summer can cause wood floors to absorb more moisture and begin warping and buckling.

Luxury vinyl tile has a more flexible comfort zone, ranging between 60 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit. In addition, it doesn’t suffer from wood’s problem of being damaged by excess moisture. Just be careful that your floor isn’t exposed to too much direct heat because peaking can occur. Temperatures that are too cold can also prove to be a problem since your floor could become more brittle. But as long as you’re careful, luxury vinyl tile can last in your home for many years.

Style

Not everything about luxury vinyl tile has to do with its functionality. It should also be able to complement your house beautifully. Fortunately, you can get this tile in many different styles. This way, you’ll boost your home’s curb appeal, which can not only make your house more enjoyable but also help you net more value on the market if you plan on selling your house one day.
