  • Shaw Tile

Shaw Tile also presents a dazzling assortment of tiles suitable for any imaginable use. Both floor and wall tile are featured here, often paired. When buying floor tile it is important to consider the use it will have before committing to a finish. Large, shiny tiles are not suitable to areas where people may walk with wet feet, as these are more likely to present a slip hazard than smaller tiles, where the grout lines provide traction, or tiles that are less smooth, where the texture will give the foot something to grip.

  • Marazzi Tile

Marazzi Tile. Another thing to notice when shopping for any tile is a how resistant to abrasion it is. Tiles for different uses require different resistance factors. The PEI table is used to define the categories of of abrasion resistance.

P.E.I. ( Porcelain Enamel Institute) WEAR RATING

  • Florida Tile

Florida Tile has a fine selection of tiles that usually includes some inexpensive tiles that are perfect for residential use. Tile floors can be very inviting in a beach house where they evoke a feeling of the Mediteranean. Their simple upkeep is ideal for a casual beach life. For glazed tile, simply sweep or vaccuum with a soft brush. Mopping may be required from time to time, but the tile will not stain. If an epoxy grout is used, the grout will also remain stain- free. Unglazed tiles will absorb some stains as they are used and will develop a patina over time.

  • Conestoga Tile

Conestoga Tile has a very broad selection of tiles in many patterns and colors. When looking at Conestoga – or any other tile – look for a rating for the degree of color variation the tiles will contain. Tiles with a high variation of colors may have very dramatic differences of colors in a single box. Those with a low degree of variation will have tiles which are virtually identical, though there will be very small differences from box to box. Your installer will blend tiles from several boxes while installing to be sure that differences are well-blended throughout the project. Be careful that you select a tile with a color variation that is in line with the project you have in mind.

  • American Olean Tile

American Olean tile is a name that is well known to those who design interior spaces with tiles. The American Olean display has a good variety of tiles in varying hardness, size and composition to help you find what you need for your design needs. Some of the porcelain tiles have color that goes all the way through, “through-body” porcelain tile. These tiles will wear extremely well and any small chips will be less noticable because the body of the tile is the same color as the surface. Because they are unglazed, they also have greater slip-resistance. On the other hand, they may be more difficult to clean than glazed porcelain.

  • Shaw Carpet

Shaw Clear Touch has R2X stain resistance. R2X is resistance times two. R2x application yields total fiber coverage. The yarn is treated from top to bottom, instead of just the surface, so any absorption from the base is minimized. The increased repellency of R2X keeps liquid stains on the face of the carpet where they can be easily removed. Stains do not penetrate to the back of the carpet and do not wick back up to the surface after initial cleaning.

  • Mohawk Carpet SmartStrand

Mowhawk SmartStrand with DuPont Sorona carpets provide superior stain protection, even for pet urine and bleach. DuPont Sorona is a renewably sourced polymer. With Sorona, the stain resistance is built right into the entire fiber. It is part of the Sorona DNA. Since it is not a topical application, it won’t wash or wear off like typical stain treatments often do. The Sorona Polymer also has a unique kinked crystal structure that gives it the resilience to allow your carpet to resist the crushing and matting that can occur with other carpets.

Mohawk Wunda Weve carpets are made only from the best components, so every aspect is of superior quality. Wear-Dated fiber with Scotchgard Protector Advanced Repel Technology combines enduring performance with impressive stain resistance, so you can relax more while enjoying your space.
